A masked burglar broke into a Virginia liquor store, causing damage and spilling alcohol on the floor.

The suspect turned out to be a raccoon, who was found passed out on the bathroom floor after his drunken escapade.

Samantha Martin, an animal control officer, found the raccoon and took him back to the animal shelter, where he sobered up.

The Hanover County Animal Protection and Shelter praised Martin for handling the situation and released the raccoon back into the wild after ensuring he was unharmed.

The agency humorously mentioned that the raccoon may have learned that “breaking and entering is not the answer” after his misadventure.
