Beyoncé Postpones Major Announcement Amid Devastating L.A. Fires

By Alyssa Jan 14, 2025 | 10:53 AM

Beyoncé postponed her January 14 announcement to honor victims of the Los Angeles wildfires.

The news follows weeks of fan speculation that the “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer was about to launch her Cowboy Carter tour after a dazzling halftime act at the Baltimore Ravens vs. Houston Texans game on Christmas Day.

The musician expressed solidarity with families and communities affected by the fires, which destroyed houses and displaced people, on Instagram on January 13.

“The January 14th announcement will be postponed to a later date due to the devastation caused by the ongoing wildfires around areas of Los Angeles,” Beyoncé wrote.

“I continue to pray for healing and rebuilding for the families suffering from trauma and loss.  We are so blessed to have brave first responders who continue to work tirelessly to protect the Los Angeles community.”

Wildfires have also devastated Beyoncé’s relatives.

On January 9, her mother, Tina Knowles, stated that the fires destroyed her Malibu bungalow, her “sacred happy place.”

“It was my favorite place, my sanctuary,” Knowles posted on Instagram with dolphin footage near the former residence.
