“The Fall-Off” is a double album with 11 tracks on each disc, totaling 24 tracks, and is intended to be J. Cole’s last project.
The album’s concept revolves around J. Cole’s return to his hometown at age 29 on Disc 29 and as a 39-year-old man on Disc 39, reflecting on his life and career.
J. Cole intensified the hype for “The Fall-Off” with a trailer featuring his childhood home studio and a speech by mathematician Andrew Wiles about finding beauty in suffering.
