Airbnb reported an estimated $560 million in economic impact linked to Bad Bunny’s concert residency in Puerto Rico between July and September.

More than 10,000 hosts welcomed roughly 550,000 guests during the three-month stretch, with visitors arriving from 1,300 cities and 108 countries.

Searches for stays in Puerto Rico spiked more than 140 percent after Bad Bunny announced his residency dates in early July, filling rentals at record levels and extending tourism spending to smaller towns and rural areas.

Local hosts, like Laura Torres, noted a positive economic impact and increased awareness of their projects due to the surge in tourism.

Airbnb highlighted the role of local hosts in promoting economic development and how community-based tourism can generate lasting gains for Puerto Rico.
