Power 106.9 - Omaha's #1 For Hip Hop & Hits

An attorney for Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has asked that he be allowed to serve his term at a low-security prison facility.

Attorney Teny Geragos asked that Combs be sent to FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey to address drug abuse issues and maximize family visitation and rehabilitative efforts.

Combs has been held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn and would undergo the Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP) and other educational or occupational programs at Fort Dix.

The judge can suggest a location for Combs’ housing, but the Bureau of Prisons will make the final decision.

Combs was sentenced to four years and two months in prison for two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution under the Mann Act.

He was acquitted of racketeering and sex trafficking charges.

FCI Fort Dix holds about 4,000 inmates and has housed celebrities like Teresa Giudice and Joe Giudice from “Real Housewives of New Jersey.”
