The incident occurred in 2023 at Drai’s Beachclub where Cardi B asked the crowd to throw water at her to beat the heat, but when the woman threw water at Cardi, the rapper responded by throwing the microphone at her.
Video footage showed Cardi B initially responding positively to people throwing water at her before throwing the mic into the crowd.
Cardi B was investigated by the police but was not charged in the incident.
The microphone was later sold for $99K, which the woman claims exacerbated her emotional distress.
The woman is suing Cardi B for assault, battery, negligence, and more, and
Cardi B’s attorney has not responded to the allegations.
