Rodney O is suing Future, Metro Boomin, and Kendrick Lamar over their 2024 collab “Like That” for unpaid royalties from the Drake and J. Cole-aimed diss track.

Legal documents reveal that Epic Records did not receive full clearance to release the version with Kendrick Lamar, and Rodney O was not given his writing credit when the song was nominated for the GRAMMYs.

Rodney O is also suing Barry White’s estate for including his samples in Ye’s “Like That” remix.

Metro Boomin’s representative stated that the sample received the necessary clearance and that they paid $50,000 USD to use the track legally, suggesting that Rodney O’s issue should be with Barry White’s estate.

“Like That” debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and received nominations for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance at the GRAMMYs.
