Kevin Hart Says He Stopped Doing His Own Stunts After Ice Cube Knocked Out His Double

Kevin Hart stopped doing his own stunts in movies after an incident on the set of “Ride Along” involving Ice Cube accidentally punching a stuntman in the face.

The incident made Hart realize the risks involved in stunt work, leading him to reconsider his eagerness to perform stunts.

He mentioned, “I remember Cube just hugging the stunt guy like, ‘You are going to be all right.'”

Hart acknowledged the talent and risks taken by stunt performers, emphasizing the lack of recognition they receive.

He suggested the need for a stunt award, stating, “Those guys do not get enough credit, man.”

“Ride Along,” released in 2014, features Hart as a security guard trying to impress his girlfriend’s police officer brother, played by Ice Cube.

The movie follows their 24-hour patrol of Atlanta.
