Zoo Alligator’s Stomach Was Full Of Coins

An alligator at a Nebraska zoo seems to have developed a taste for pocket change.

Veterinarians removed more than 70 coins from the stomach of Thibodaux, a 36-year-old gator at the Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium in Omaha.

Zoo workers say they noticed the metal objects during a routine exam, and are urging zoo guests not to toss coins into the water.
