Charlamagne tha God shares an honest moment when he first arrived in New York.
He said he thought the HOV lanes were owned by Jay-Z; he thought he had his own lane.
HOV stands for “High Occupancy Vehicle,” meaning two or more people are in the vehicle.
He shared this as they discussed the woman in Texas who was pulled over for driving in the HOV lane and received a ticket because she was the only person in the car.
She disagrees and says two people were in the car as she is over 30 weeks pregnant.
She plans to fight it in court.

He said, “I want y’all to keep in mind that I know nothing about the HOV lane. The first time I ever saw an HOV lane was in New York City. I said to myself, ‘Damn! Jay-Z got his own lane in New York?’ When I moved here in 2006, that’s the first thing I thought.”
